I Saw Elvis On The Island

There've been many, many, many elvis sightings since the death of the man we call the king
He's been seen in a hundred 7-11's          people want to think he's still a living thing
From eureka to bar harbor, from sea to shining sea
From hawaii and alaska, down to texas and the florida keys
The thought of seeing elvis is some people's major thing
But it was my opinion elvis truly left the building

We know elvis was enamored with hawaii          he filmed three of his movies there
Blue hawaii, girls girls girls, and paradise hawaiian style
Plus his '73 concert:  aloha from hawaii
So if there was a place where he would show his face, that would seem to be his cup of tea
And though i always said that elvis was no more
I had to change my mind on my island tour
'Cause there he was a-standing on the sun-kissed shore
Sporting a 5-inch pompadore

I saw elvis on the island
His swivel-hips were flyin'
He was a-gyratin' and smilin'
A lot
When he started doin' a hula, he looked so awesome coola
All the gals began to droola

"That's right, baby ... you know what i mean ..?.. oh, i think ya do .... honeychild"

Nothin's more confusin' to the mind i think i'm losin'
I can't blame it on boozin' because i don't drink
No one can explain it, but i surely will retain it
I just might become famous
Because i saw elvis on the island

"That's right, c'mon over to ol' elvis, baby ... you know what i mean ..?.. oh, honeychild"

Yes, i saw elvis on the island

(Don't) Help! (Having The Time Of My Life)

With my foot, i spell "help!" in the sand, then i spell out "don't" in front of it
Then i take my time and behind these words, i write "having the time of my life"
I fill in the letters with palm branches and i place coconuts in the o's
Then i watch the ocean come wandering in and eradicate all of my artistry

Then i dance and i prance and i celebrate this chance
To be one with the sun and i've only just begun
To believe without a doubt that i'm having the time of my life

Then i splash in the sea as a dolphin looks at me
And i leap in the air as the plovers swoop and stare
And there can be no doubt that i am having the time of my life

And my laughter carries far as i strum on my guitar
And i sing out this song as a nene sings along
And there's not a shred of doubt that i'm having the time of my life

I am so filled with glee that it radiates from me
And converges with the sea to create such joie de vie
And there ain't one speck o' doubt that i am having the time of my life

With my foot, i spell "help!" in the sand, then i spell out "d-o-n-t" in front of it
Then i take my time and behind these words, i write . . .
