7) Postmarked Aug 10, 1909. Caption reads: It was during a winter of intense severity that the ice hill shown in the view was formed. The base was composed of huge pieces of ice that, having broken loose in the river above the fall, were carried over and accumulated at the foot. The frozen spray being deposited upon these, rapidly increased the height of the mound, until it eventually reached to more than half the height of the fall.

9) Oct 29, 1913. Caption reads: Below the Falls, thousands of tons of spray have been transformed to a dazzling cone of ice, forming a solid ice bridge, joining Niagara Falls, NY, and Canada. Here, also, that wonderful artist, Nature, has designed and wrought beautiful festoons and draperies of sparkling crystal, a wonderful mantle of spotless white, symbolical of the purity of the Majesty of Nature.
