A Study Of . . . Washington NJ / Railroad Station, Apr 22, 1956, #012 |
|
An air of calm. In this general view of the area surrounding the station at Washington, NJ, train #1016 is on the siding with engine 856. The Railway Express Agency was still in operation at this time - their truck is at the far right. The station's central heating plant was out of service by now, as evidenced by the metal chimney protruding from the window of the Express room.
