A Study Of . . . Niagara Falls / Canadian Falls, #012 |
|
Edsen speaks: Is this just the same ol' redundant view of Terrapin Point? No way! Not today! Notice the tower in the background. This is a rare view of Street's Pagoda, named after the man who built and owned it, Thomas Clark Street. 50ft wide and built of lattice work, it was located on Cedar Island, a 10 acre patch of land above the brink of the falls; unfortunately, the tower sat just a bit too far back from the brink to offer much of a view, and thus, did not do well as a tourist attraction |
